Updates for 05-12-09
Dammit, I’ve been slacking on updating this page as much as I should be, but there’s a good reason I promise: I still have a job! Not only that, I have EXTRA job duties!
As some of you know, I work in radio, which has been hit as hard as any other business in the current economy. This means as people come and go through the studios, those who remain must pick up additional responsibilities. The latest change has netted me the full-time midday slot on STAR 101.9 along with my job as Production Director for our 7-station cluster. It’s an excellent chance to get my name out there and hopefully entertain a few more people, not to mention it’s a lot of fun. So if you’re so inclined, check me out 10am-3pm 7 days a week! I keep a running blog on the station’s website, too, so click HERE and help boost my page views! I’ll do my best to make it worth your while, I swear!
OK, that’s my shameless plug for my day job. Now, on the extracurricular project: the League of eXtraordinary Geeks! The LXG podcast has been up and running for a couple of months now and we seem to be slowly building an audience. AWESOME! If you’ve listened and liked it, I can’t thank you enough for your time and interest. If you don’t like it, what the ever-loving fuck are you doing on my website?!?!
I’ve got some internet, TV, movie, and comic book updates on their way, as well as some blogging, so stay tuned…or keep checking in…or whatever the correct phrase is that I need to turn to get you to keep typing www.imakereality.com into your browser.

Episode 2 of LXG is now GO! Check out the [league of extraordinary geeks.] page. We're getting some good feedback and positive responses, which actually means a lot to me. The "league" members really want this to succeed and just by listening and telling a friend that will happen.
HOWEVER, should you be inspired to do a little more, comments on the website, emails to lxg@imakereality.com, and especially iTunes reviews can get the word out by leaps and bounds. Most of our listeners now are Hawaii-based just like use. We know you guys support your local comic/game store, and supporting a local podcast is very cool of you.
In the coming weeks we hope to touch on more games as well as comics, and invite on the show select guests to help round out various perspectives on our favorite hobbies. All this and a lot of swearing.
Again, thanks for listening and stick with us!

Holy Crap, We Did It. Yup, the first podcast from the "league of extraordinary geeks" is in the can and now available to download on the [league of extraordinary geeks.] page. Soon, you'll be able to grab it from iTunes as well (I hope).
This is kind of a big deal for me, so I hope you like what you hear enough to stick with us while we fine-tune everything and try to make something we can all be geek-proud of. I already am. As always, comments and feedback welcome.

I'm picking up steam - woohoo! This time around I made a few updates to the [music.] page with some concert reviews.
Beyond that, keep an eye on the [league of extraordinary geeks.] page as we just finished our first podcast and will be posting it as soon as a little editing is done.
As always, comments appreciated!

OK, another series of updates! Check out the [links.] page to get connected to sites that my friends have set up, business I'm associated with, and organizations that I think are worthwhile. The [contact.] page is starting to be functional, so you'll have ways to get at me directly. Also, the [online.] section seems to be the easiest to update, so keep and eye there. I've been tearing through some new books lately, so look for some sizable reviews coming to the [comics.] section soon. Thanks and let me know what you think of the site so far!
FIRST!!!1!!!one!!!1!!
Don't get too impressed, it's easy to do when you own the site and don't yet know how to let others comment on your work because you're sick of reading the "Help" feature in Dreamweaver. But yes, this is the debut of my new site and I'm hoping to open it up as it develops.
Primarily, this site will be an UNCENSORED place for me to rant, rave, and generally spout off about anything I want to, but I also want to open it up to anyone out there just looking to write and have their work out there. I'd like to invite anyone out there looking to write and post about whatever they're passionate about and think others out there might give a remote crap about to send their work my way. I promise nothing beyond a pulpit on which to stand, but that's certainly not nothing.
So, what do I love so much that I'd make yet another website about? Comic books, movies, tv, random online detrius, and games! What it all boils down to is a good story and a good time. Is it fun? Does it make you think? Can you sit around with friends over beer (Dr. Peppers if your really wild) and have a good laugh? It better be, or it needs to stop taking up my valuable time.
Questions and comments are always welcome and I hope you enjoy!
